Overview
Genesius Films began production in July of 2026 on a trilogy of 2d animated films – an epic fairytale of Biblical proportions about a fisherman who is pierced in his side by a magical thorn that wraps around one of his ribs. He sets out to find the Star Beyond the Sea who, legend says, gives all who find her a gift beyond all telling.
We are currently in the first phase of production, expecting to finish a full animatic and trailer for the first episode by summer 2027. We have an unprecedentedly large, underserved audience clamoring for stories just like this one, and we plan to push our animatic through the Angel Investor's Guild for a full-scale animated production and theatrical release.
We have secured funds and begun the first phase of production, but we still need your help to get our production into the next stage. We are seeking investors who believe in the power and beauty of storytelling to shape our culture, and we are asking for small investments that will return a high yield* in the next phase of production.
A $3,000 investment funds one month of production towards the completed animatic, and gets us that much closer to submitting our project to studios. If and when we secure studio funding, your investment and return* will be paid first, and you will have the opportunity to re-invest at that time.

Synopsis
Pierced in his side by a magical thorn, a fisherman travels across the great ocean in search of the star beyond the sea, which, legend says, gives those who find her a gift beyond all telling.
The Star Beyond the Sea is an epic fairytale written out of the deepest depths of the ancient and beautiful Aristotelian storytelling tradition. It is packed with Biblical and ecclesial symbolism, designed to evoke catharsis in the most hardened of hearts. The story is written to sink into the soul, and convey moral truths in a way that only stories can.

We are developing a unique style inspired by Studio Ghibli and by the Irish animation studio Cartoon Saloon. Every animated feature film produced by both studios has been critically acclaimed and widely distributed.
